Do you know TPU ?

Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) is a versatile thermoplastic elastomer that bridges the gap between rubber and plastic. It has been commercialized since the 1950 but gain high attraction in the last 15 years.

  • TPU is known for its high elasticity, flexibility, durability, and resistance to abrasion, which makes it first choise in multiple sports applications, like bicycle grips and inner tubes. Eclipse TPU material can be stretched by over 400% before failure.
  • Modern TPU is a highly sustainable material which can be recycled and reused without loosing significantly on its material properties, it's therefore poised to lead in future material developments

Dünnflüssiger als gewöhnliche Dichtmilch und stinkt nicht so. Etwas Sealant in den TPU und seitdem hält er die Luft. Bisher noch keinen Praxistest im Fahrbetrieb gemacht.
